GlassEco Surfaces in Local Designs

glasseco surfaces at Commonhouse aleworks in park circle

GlassEco was honored to be a part of the up fit of Commonhouse Aleworks, Park Circle’s popular brewery and taproom. Recycled glass countertops offer a unique custom look at the front counter and back bar. The project was a collaboration between Cityvolve and The Middleton Group.

Recycled glass from rewined & urban Electric at Local works

When outfitting their Local Works space, Lowcountry Local First opted to use GlassEco countertops. The surfaces incorporated wine bottle remains from Rewined’s candle packaging and glass refuse from Urban Electric’s light fixture manufacturing process. Read the article to learn more more about the project and the locally manufactured products used.

Reception Desk In Public works lobby in north charleston

GlassEco was approached by a municipal contractor to do the reception desk for the Public Works lobby in North Charleston. They wanted to support a local business and were also attracted to GlassEco’s Woman-Owned Small Business certification. The glass was sourced from Charleston restaurants and was patterned to reflect a subdued office environment.

I have had the pleasure of working on several projects with GlassEco and Fisher Recycling over the years. Most recently we designed a custom dining island for a commercial office client that featured their Wright Dune product. The island is anchored by a custom steel base and features a 3” thick custom edge detail. Measuring 10ft x 4ft, it is the visual anchor for the space and a real focal point of the 3rd floor amenity center. For us there is nothing better than providing a unique design featuring local materials and craftspeople.
